A RUSHER Update.
RUSHER was adopted by Matt in November of 2014.
Matt has a young Clydie named Reuben who RUSHER was adopted for as a friend and down the track to work alongside. Matt is interested in pursueing traditional heavy horse cart pulling. Matt and RUSHER clicked the moment that they met and we were so excited to have found the perfect match for our ” playful” RUSHER!
Update from Matt….”Rusher is doing well, enjoying all the green grass that has popped up in the wet weather. His Parelli training is going well, although slowly. He is still a bit narky at Ruben though it seems its mostly jealousy, ignoring the fact that they both get the same amount of attention. I have begun getting him used to bareback riding (less than an hour a week) and flank roping him. It seems to me that he has been started in the past. He has finally gotten bored of chasing the goats when they are out and about. During the recovery of Ruben, Rusher lived near by the stable to give them both company which let Rusher spend some time with my piglet “BB” with whom Rusher become great friends with. He didn’t like the full grown pig much, especially around feed time. The photos below show off Rusher’s interest in my camera phone. Him advertising a friends business card ( not actually used for promotion just desensitization) and he was trying to eat my plastic bag so I gave him a plastic beard.”
